Dr. Renuka Malik served as Quality Assurance Chair for the Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology at the University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Malik currently serves as Associate Professor of Radiation and Cellular Oncology at the University of Chicago Medicine. Her clinical interests include mediastinal tumors, mesothelioma, lung cancer, and gastrointestinal cancers. She is specialized in stereotactic ablative radiotherapy, which allows patients to receive increasingly potent and localized doses of radiation to cancerous tissue while avoiding damage to healthy tissue. Dr. Malik is also specialized in image-guided radiation therapy and intensity-modulated radiation therapy.

Research and Publishing

Dr. Malik served as Principal Investigator assesssing the effectiveness of radiotherapy for patients with lung cancer. She has also researched molecular markers, and how they could predict the spread of specific cancers.

Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Malik has actively published articles for peer-reviewed journals, and she has participated in both national and international conferences to present and share her clinical research.
