Dr. Richard Battafarano, M.D., works as the chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery, and one of the first things that you will learn from speaking to him is how he has a lot of knowledge on the subject. Working as a chest surgeon, he has special expertise in the field of lung cancer and mesothelioma. Dr. Battafarano first graduated from Haverford College and earned his B.A. from there. He later completed the general surgery residency from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Battafarano would go on to receive his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in biomedical science.
