Dr. Robert Ramirez earned his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed his internal medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden and his hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis.

Dr. Ramirez currently practices as a thoracic medical oncologist at the Ochsner Medical Center. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. One of his special areas of interest is the asbestos-related cancer of lung cancer.
